Join us on Saturday, June 27, from 8:00–10:45 a.m. for a bird and nature walk at Volo Bog, one of Illinois' most distinctive natural areas.
Volo Bog is home to Illinois' only open-water quaking bog and supports an incredible diversity of wetlands, woodlands, and prairie habitats. Late June is a fascinating time to explore, as many of Lake County's breeding birds are actively singing, defending territories, and caring for their young.
Space is limited for this special walk, so we encourage you to register soon. Don't miss this opportunity to experience one of the region's most unique landscapes and the wildlife that depends on it.
