Join us for a special joint bird walk with the Lake County Forest Preserves as part of a countywide Big Day event!

On this exciting day, birders and nature lovers spread out across Lake County to document as many bird species as possible. Every sighting is recorded and uploaded to eBird, where the data helps scientists and community members better understand bird populations, where birds are found, and how they move along migratory pathways.

The walk will be led by our very own Matt Tobin, whose birding expertise draws participants from near and far. Whether you're new to birding or a seasoned observer, it’s a great opportunity to learn, explore, and contribute to meaningful conservation science.
