Big Day Bird Walk: Van Patten Woods

Join Lake County Audubon Society (LCAS) for a Big Day Bird Walk at Van Patten Woods on Sunday, May 4 @ 7:00 AM. We are partnering with Lake County Forest Preserves District (LCFPD) as part of a Des Plaines River bird blitz that morning, with Van Patten Woods one of seven locations hosting bird walks. Early May is a great time to get outside and enjoy the many migrating birds moving through our region.

 The six other walk locations for the May 4th Big Day include Half Day, Independence Grove, Old School, Ryerson Conservation Area, Sedge Meadow, and Wright Woods. The registration links for each walk can be found on the LCFPD website.
