Bird Walk: Illinois Beach State Park - North Unit

This trip will be a joint walk with Chicago Ornithological Society and will be limited to 20 participants, 10 from each organization. If you register and realize ahead of time you will not be able to make the walk, please send a text to the trip leader so another spot can be re-opened.

Activity Level:  Moderate, Walk 3-4 miles (mix of crushed gravel/grass/beach trails)

***After the walk, we invite participants to stick around for a social gathering at a nearby picnic shelter, where refreshments will be available. ***

Bring binoculars (if available).  We do have some loaner binoculars available. Please dress accordingly for the weather and wear appropriate footwear for gravel/grass/beach trails. Consider bringing sunscreen and insect repellent. There are some outhouses available throughout the park. In case of inclement weather, the trip leader will notify all participants via email & text.
